After supplying tyres for Verna, CEAT has now inked a deal with Hyundai to become official tyre supplier for the recently launched Santro.

Latest to come out of Hyundai stable, the iconic Santro  would come shod with CEAT Fuelsmarrt tyres. These tyres have been specially customized to offer low rolling resistance in order to increase fuel efficiency of the vehicle.

This is an extension of the partnership between CEAT and Hyundai after the former supplied SecuraDrive tyres for the latest iteration of the Verna.

Commenting on this partnership, Nitish Bajaj, Sr. Vice President - Marketing, CEAT said: “It’s a pleasure to be associated with Hyundai for the launch of new Santro, which has always been an iconic car. We are glad to deliver Fuelsmarrt tyres as per Hyundai’s expectations of low rolling resistance for better fuel efficiency while maintaining high standards of safety of the vehicle. Our aim has always been to focus on the safety of the customers and, in this case providing great mileage and greater savings for them.”

The ‘CEAT Fuelsmarrt’ tyres for the New Hyundai Santro would be available in 155/80 R13 size. These tyres have been made using a special polymer compound which reduces rolling resistance, thereby reducing the fuel consumption.

Interlocked tread blocks and wide contact patch make for confident high-speed stability while the stiff shoulder blocks provide for better handling and maneuvering, say CEAT. The company also claims to have adjusted pitch sequence Fuelsmarrt tyres in order to reduce tyre noise inside the cabin.
