F1 News–Mercedes And Ferrari Favour Medium Tyre For Mexican GP

Red Bull has stocked up on nine sets of red soft compound along with Renault, Haas and William’s drivers
F1 tyre supplier Pirelli has released driver’s compound choices for next week’s Mexican Grand Prix. Mercedes and Ferrari have gone with identical soft tyre selection. Their drivers will run on seven soft rubbers, while Valtteri Bottas has gone with four sets of the medium tyre which is one less than his teammate and the Ferrari rivals.

Red Bull meanwhile has opted for a less conservative approach, stocking up on nine sets of the red soft compound, a choice which is also shared by Renault, Haas and Williams’ drivers.
Pirelli mandates one set of each of the Soft, Medium and Hard Tyres, while for their remaining 10 sets teams are permitted free choice.
