JK Tyre's JETRACING tyres feature on Tata T1 Prima Trucks

Tata T1 Prima Truck Race, that witnessed its first edition last year, conducted the second season of the race at the Buddh International Circuit (BIC), Greater Noida on 14th and 15th March, 2015. All the Tata T1 Prima trucks were equipped with the JETRACING tyres from JK Tyres, which made its debut at the first season of the Tata T1 Prima Truck Race at BIC last year.

Tata Motors joined hands with JK Tyres last year to provide best tyres for the race. All the tyres that feature on the trucks measure 315/80 R22, while, the entire wheel rim is made of a single piece metal.

During the truck race at the track, the JETRACING Tyres proved to be reliable and was well suited for the road conditions. The JETRACING tyres has been designed with important technique of 'Tapered tread profile' and have 'HE wire' and 'special wire wrap' that can sustain the speed of up to 160 kmph.

As compared to the last year's Tata T1 Prima Truck Race, the top speed of the Prima trucks has been increased from 110 kmph to around 130kmph, therefore, the drivers got a chance to test the speed limit of the trucks on the track as well as the tyres' ability to have a good grip on wet surface and at a higher speed.

Moreover, Tata Motors has also reduced the overall weight of the trucks, which is now 700 kgs lighter than before.
