The Kawasaki Ninja 500 rides on 110/70 R17 front and 150/60 R17 rear tubeless radial tyres, with these tyre sizes offered in most of the sub-500cc sports bikes and roadsters. These are the same tyres which were offered in the Ninja 400. The Kawasaki Ninja 500 gets Dunlop Sportmax GPR-300 tubeless radial tyres for its 17-inch alloy wheels.
One of the most premium tyres for entry-level sports bikes, the Dunlop Sportmax GPR-300 tyre for the Kawasaki Ninja 500 has an optimised radial construction for enhanced grip on wet and dry surfaces and handling at higher speeds. This Dunlop tyre has an advanced belt design and jointless band in its construction for smoother grip levels and consistent contact patches.

Compared to the outgoing Ninja 400, the new Kawasaki Ninja 500 has a tweaked design, which makes it look more aggressive and in line with the most recent sports bikes from Kawasaki. The Indian version of the motorcycle is the base-spec Ninja 500 available overseas, which comes equipped with an all-LED headlamp, tail lamp and turn indicators but misses out on a full-TFT screen for a more cost-effective LCD screen with Bluetooth connectivity for the instrument console.
Kawasaki Ninja 500: Engine & Transmission
The Kawasaki Ninja 500 gets the same four-stroke, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin, 451cc engine as the outgoing Ninja 400. While the maximum power output remains the same at 45 bhp, the peak torque output has witnessed a significant boost of 5.6 Nm, claiming 42.6 Nm in the Ninja 500. Paired with a 6-speed transmission in the Ninja 500, this engine is also available in Kawasaki Eliminator 450 cruiser in a different state of tune.
