Michelin to sell tyres with Harley-Davidson branding

Michelin and Harley-Davidson have been working together since 2008 and the latter uses the former's products as OE fitments on its motorcycles. These tyres also have Harley-Davidson branding on the sidewall but now, both the companies have signed another agreement, which will allow the sale of Harley-Davidson-branded Michelin tyres through authorized Michelin outlets and Harley-Davidson dealerships.

The tyres included in this agreement are Michelin Scorcher 11, Michelin Scorcher 31 and Michelin Scorcher 32. These tyres are currently Original Equipment fitment of Harley-Davidson Sportster, Dyna, V-Rod and Street motorcycles. Now, after this agreement, availability of these tyres will increase in the replacement market.

These tyres are presently sold through Harley-Davidson dealership network. The availability of Michelin Scorcher tyres at the Michelin dealers will be determined on a country-by-country basis starting in Autumn 2015.

According to Michelin, the Scorcher tyres incorporates innovative rubber compounds that provide remarkable on both dry and wet surfaces. The supple casing design and profile of Michelin Scorcher 31 tires promote rock-solid handling on winding roads and Michelin carbon black-enriched rubber compounds promote excellent durability without compromising performance.
