Summarizing 1st round of 12th JK Tyre National karting championship

Vishnu Prasad from Meco Racing team won the 1st round of 12th JK Tyre national racing championship. Participating in Senior Max rotax category,Vishnu was disqualified after the second heat of the day due to non-compliance of a technical rule. As a result of which, he had to start the race from 5th position.
Despite the setback, the champion raced brilliantly on a wet race track and managed to get up the order for the final race. In the final race, Nayan Chatterjee from Rayo racing was leading the first half of the race as Vishnu chased him down. In the final few laps though, the duo put up a great show for the audience and eventually Vishnu managed to get past Nayan. After that Vishnu maintained a comfortable lead, since Nayan was kept busy by Druv Mohite of Mohite's racing.
In junior max catagory, Akash Gowda from Meco Racing team came on pole position after the entertaining battle with a tough competition. He was one of the few who went with slick tyres after the track was started to dryout after the downpour. Initially Mohammed Nalwala from Rayo Racing was leading the race on slick tyres, but after a few good initial laps, he started to fall down the grid and went down to P4. However during the final laps of the race Mohammed Nalwala managed to come back upto P2. Meanwhile, Akash continued to lead the race
In the Micro Max category, Sahan Ali Mohsin dominated the starting from the pre-finals uptill the final races. This young talent has been competing in Asian races also, and acording to a majority of motorsport followers in the country, he is the one to watch out for.
After the first round, we know that competition is tough this time and only the best will come out as a champion. The next round will take place at the newly built Chicane circuit in Hyderabad, starting from 25th July.
