Bridgestone Ecopia ENLITEN Long-Haul Tyre Range Launched For Commercial Vehicles: Details Inside

With the new Ecopia ENLITEN, Bridgestone claims to improve fuel efficiency and reduce the rolling resistance and wear rate of commercial fleet vehicles.

• The new Bridgestone Ecopia ENLITEN will be initially offered with a tyre size of 315/70 R22.5, with five more tyre sizes to be added by 2025. 
• The new Bridgestone commercial vehicle tyre range will be offered in three variants – Steer, Drive and Trailer. 
• Bridgestone will be making the new Ecopia ENLITEN long-haul tyre range under Bridgestone Fleetcare.

Bridgestone has expanded its lineup of tyres for commercial vehicles by introducing its ENLITEN technology in the Ecopia long-haul tyre range. Exclusively designed for commercial vehicles for fleet operators, the Bridgestone Ecopia ENLITEN intends to offer enhanced durability in the long run with a claimed reduced wear rate and rolling resistance. It is the first time that the ENLITEN technology has been introduced for a truck tyre from Bridgestone.

Features Of Bridgestone Ecopia ENLITEN

Designed with both electric vehicles and internal combustion engine vehicles in equal consideration, the new Bridgestone Ecopia ENLITEN long-haul tyre range claims to improve the fuel efficiency of vehicles with its low energy pattern designs and high-performance compounds.

For additional grip and traction, while cornering, the new Bridgestone Ecopia ENLITEN tyre range has a spiral belt construction in a low profile, which also optimizes pressure distribution for reducing wear rate. Bridgestone has also given this tyre range a robust casing, which has resulted in greater retreadability. All the tyre options offered under the Bridgestone Ecopia ENLITEN range come with RFID and can be fitted with tyre-mounted sensors. 

Benefits Of Bridgestone Ecopia ENLITEN

Bridgestone has rated the new Ecopia ENLITEN long-haul tyre range with an EU label B-grade in wet grip, which along with the 3PMSF marking, makes the new tyre compatible for all-season usage. Also, the Bridgestone Ecopia ENLITEN tyre range has been certified with EU Label A-grade in rolling resistance.

Compared to the previous-generation Bridgestone Ecopia tyres for commercial vehicles, the new Ecopia ENLITEN claims a 12 per cent lower rolling resistance in the drive axle and an 8 per cent lower rolling resistance in the steer axle. Also, against the previous-generation tyre, the new-generation Bridgestone Ecopia ENLITEN promises 40 per cent higher mileage in the steer axle and 6 per cent higher mileage in the drive axle, thus claiming a reduced wear rate. 

 Availability Of Bridgestone Ecopia ENLITEN

To be offered in two variants – Bridgestone Ecopia Steer ENLITEN and Bridgestone Ecopia Drive ENLITEN, the new range of commercial vehicle tyres from Bridgestone will go on sale in January 2024. Initially, the Bridgestone Ecopia ENLITEN will be offered only in a single 315/70 R22.5 tyre size. 

However, Bridgestone will be adding four more tyre sizes under this new long-haul tyre range in 2024 and one more in 2025. An additional third variant – Bridgestone Ecopia Trailer ENLITEN – will also be added in late 2024. All the Bridgestone Ecopia ENLITEN tyres will be offered as a part of Bridgestone Fleetcare, an exclusive sub-brand for fleet customers.
