The new, upgraded version of the Firestone Roadhawk summer tyre claims to have a longer mileage and lesser rolling resistance than the tyre it replaces.
- The sales of the new Firestone Roadhawk 2 ENLITEN summer tyre will start in January 2024, with it to be available in 19 more sizes than its predecessor.
- With 20 per cent longer mileage and 10 per cent lesser rolling resistance, the new Firestone Roadhawk 2 ENLITEN is an EV-ready tyre.
- The new tyre features NanoPro-Tech silica content compound for more robust abrasion resistance.
The Firestone range from Bridgestone, which has a prestigious history for its unique musical legacy, has been added with a new Roadhawk 2 ENLITEN summer tyre. Claiming to offer better mileage and improved grip levels on wet surfaces, the new Firestone Roadhawk 2 ENLITEN summer tyre has been developed at Bridgestone’s R&D centre in Rome, Italy. Bridgestone claims that this new summer tyre under the Firestone range is EV-ready, and can be used for both general vehicles and electric vehicles.
According to Bridgestone, the new Firestone Roadhawk 2 ENLITEN summer tyre, which has arrived as a replacement to the first-generation Roadhawk tyre, claims 20 per cent longer mileage than its predecessor. Additionally, it also claims 10 per cent lesser rolling resistance, thus ensuring more fuel efficiency.
For improved mileage and stronger abrasion resistance, the new Roadhawk 2 ENLITEN summer tyre features NanoPro-Tech, a high silica rubber compound. Compared to the previous-generation Firestone Roadhawk, the new version of the summer tyre claims to offer best-in-class grip over wet surfaces, for which it has been awarded the EU label A-grade.
The sales of the new Firestone Roadhawk 2 ENLITEN summer tyre from Bridgestone will first begin in Europe in January 2024, followed by the Middle East. In the initial phase, this new summer tyre will be offered in sizes from 17 inches to 21 inches. Compared to the previous-generation Roadhawk tyre, this new Firestone Roadhawk 2 ENLITEN tyre will be available in 19 additional sizes.
From January 2025, 16 more tyre sizes will be introduced for the Firestone Roadhawk 2 ENLITEN summer tyre range, taking the total available sizes to 112. According to Bridgestone, the core focus for the marketing of this tyre will be towards the HRD and HRD+ segments, in addition to covering 90 per cent of the total MID summer market.
