After three years, Renault has updated its flagship offering in India, the Kiger compact SUV, with a few additional features and a new variant. Here are all the details of the tyres, newly added features and powertrain options offered in the updated 2024 Renault Kiger:
2024 Renault Kiger: Tyres & Wheels
The entire five-variant lineup of Renault Kiger is being offered with 195/60 R16 tyres. While the lower-spec RXE, RXL and RXT variants come with 16-inch steel wheels, the higher-spec RXT(O) and RXZ variants are equipped with 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels. In all the variants of the Renault Kiger, the 16-inch wheels get CEAT SecuraDrive tyres as standard.
A popular tyre option for premium hatchbacks and compact SUVs, the CEAT SecuraDrive tyre is composed of a new-generation rubber compound for excellent cornering stability, braking and high-speed handling. While the wide longitudinal grooves of CEAT SecurDrive for Renault Kiger make the ride quality more comfortable, the optimized tread design of this tyre reduces the tyre noises.

2024 Renault Kiger: Looks & Design
The Renault Kiger hasn’t received any change to its design, which remains the same as the first-ever model launched in January 2021. The new Renault Kiger continues to come with a chrome-garnished front grille, triple LED projector setup, 16-inch machined alloy wheels and C-shaped LED tail lamps. However, the turbo variants now get red brake callipers for a distinguished appeal.
On the inside, the changes are more apparent, with the compact SUV now getting new features like semi-leatherette seats, leather-wrapped steering wheel, and bezel-less auto-dimming inside rearview mirror. It also gets auto-foldable outside rearview mirrors, an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a wireless charger, multi-sense drive modes, a 7-inch TFT instrument console with configurable modes and four airbags.
2024 Renault Kiger: Engine & Specifications
All the five variants of the Renault Kiger – RXE, RXL, RXT, RXT (O) and RXZ - come with a 1.0-litre three-cylinder naturally-aspirated petrol engine, which claims 72 PS of maximum power and 96 Nm of maximum torque. This engine comes standard with a 5-speed MT across the range, while a 5-speed AMT is also on offer from the RXL variant onwards.
In addition, the top-spec RXT (O) and RXZ variants can also be had with a 1.0-litre three-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine. Offered with 5-speed manual and CVT gearbox options in both these variants, this engine produces higher performance figures – 100 PS of maximum power and 160 Nm of maximum torque.
