At the exterior level, there are lots of changes this new SUV brings to the table. The XUV700 comes with revamped grille, a large headlamp cluster housing C-shaped DRLs falling into the front bumpers, and a revised Mahindra logo. Turn to the sides, and you will find carved wheel arches and 17/18-inch sized twin-spoke diamond-cut alloy wheels. The rear profile features dynamic arrow-shaped tail lights that lend a mature look to the car.
Inside, you will find the design pattern as clean, straightforward and yet contemporary. The interiors are an amalgamation of beige, black, and wooden themes with soft leather and silver finishing. The most eye-catching aspects are the two Mercedes-like 10.25-inch tablets in the dashboard, the one housing the infotainment unit with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and the other features a digital instrument cluster. The panel also boast Mahindra’s new AdrenoX user interface, powered by Alexa virtual assistance, allowing voice command functionality.
Other oodles of comfort in the XUV700 includes auto headlamps, dual-zone climate control, wireless charger, panoramic sunroof, 12-speakers 3D surround sound system, push-button start, rain-sensing wipers, 60:40 one-touch 2nd-row tumble, 50:50 3rd row split and powerfold ORVM, among others.
In terms of safety, the SUV comes equipped with seven airbags, an Anti-lock braking system with Electronic Stability Control, Tyre Pressure Monitoring, and a 360-degree rearview camera. The car also gets ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) safety package, incorporating features like Forward Collision Warning, Autonomous Emergency Braking, lane keep assist, lane departure warning, drowsiness detection, traffic sign recognition, and smart pilot assist.
The XUV700 is powered by a 2.0L turbocharged petrol engine that produces 200PS and 380Nm torque, and a 2.2L diesel engine that generates 185PS and 450Nm torque, paired with either a 6-speed MT or a 6-speed AT gearbox. The SUV is available in four trims and five elegant colour options.
