Published On 27-Apr-2022
The Nissan Kicks is a fun-to-drive modern compact SUV and an affordable option against established Korean rivals. If you are searching for new tyres and wheels, below are the complete details.
After the Terrano failed to make a long-lasting mark in the hot compact SUV segment, Nissan decided to give a new breath of life to its portfolio with the launch of Kicks in the Indian market. The compact SUV comes with promising styling, interiors and engines, and on top of it, an affordable price tag that has helped it gain sufficient customers so far.
At first sight, the compact crossover is impossible to ignore as it evokes confidence with its undeniable presence. The car features bolder traditional SUV elements, including an upright nose with a signature V-shaped grille, rectangular headlamps with LED DRLs and muscular creases on the bonnet.
As you step aside, the car takes a sleeker avatar, looking longer and low, while the flared wheel arches, chunky roof rails and 17-inch alloy wheels grab instant attention. The side body moulding further lends it an aggressive stance. The unique boomerang-shaped tail lamps at the rear make it stand out from the other vehicles.
The interiors are designed to hook the passengers and the premium quality of the cabin with the mix of plastic and leather reminding of a car from Europe. The 3-spoke steering is sporty and nice to hold, while the seats are very comfortable.
The Japanese carmaker has loaded this SUV with a plethora of modern-day features, including a 6-way adjustable driver’s seat, climate control with rear ac vents, electrically adjustable ORVM, automatic headlamps, rain-sensing wipers, push engine start/stop button, cruise control and leather upholstery.
For infotainment, there is an 8-inch touchscreen panel that supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, while the connected car technology makes the driving experience more convenient.
On the safety front, the Nissan has equipped the Kicks up to the gills. The car comes equipped with four airbags, ABS with EBD and brake assistance, an electronic stability program, hill start assist, rear defogger, front fog lamps with cornering function, traction control, system, vehicle stability management, and a 360-degree camera.
The Kicks is available in two petrol engine choices: a 1.5L naturally aspirated motor that produces 106PS and 142Nm torque, paired to a 5-speed manual, and the 1.3L turbo-petrol engine that generates 156PS and 254Nm, coupled with either a 6-speed manual or CVT automatic. The car allows the driver to switch between Eco, Comfort, Off-road and Dynamic driving to get the best profile for driving.
The Nissan Kicks is available in four trims and nine graceful colour options, including Pearl White, Blade Silver, Bronze Grey, Deep Blue Pearl, Night Shade, Fire Red and three dual-tone body paints viz. Pearl White & Onyx Black, Bronze Grey & Amber Orange and Fire Red & Onyx Black.
