Mahindra has brought back the TUV300 Plus with several visual and mechanical tweaks, and a new name – Bolero Neo+. Based on the Bolero Neo, which itself is a re-branded version of the TUV300, the new Mahindra Bolero Neo+ is a longer-wheelbase version of the former, with redesigned third row of seats and additional tweaks inside-out.
Here are all the details of the Mahindra Bolero Neo+, including the tyres it is coming with and the new changes introduced:
Mahindra Bolero Neo+: Tyres And Wheels
The Mahindra Bolero Neo+ is being offered in two variants – lower-spec P4 and higher-spec P10. While the P4 has 16-inch steel wheels, the P10 variant comes with 16-inch alloy wheels, with both the variants having 215/70 16 CEAT Czar HP tyres over them.
Designed exclusively for rugged SUVs and MPVs, the CEAT Czar HP has broad and tough shoulder blocks for confidence-inspiring handling over rougher surfaces at higher speeds. This CEAT tyre for Mahindra Bolero Neo+ also has an innovative tread pattern for impeccable dry and wet grip, which is further enhanced by its asymmetrical design. The computer-generated pattern pitch sequencing of this CEAT tyre reduces road noises for a comfortable ride quality.
Variant | Tyre Size | Wheel Size | Wheel Type | Tyre Pattern |
Mahindra Bolero Neo+ P4 | 215/70 R16 | 16-inch | Steel | CEAT Czar HP |
Mahindra Bolero Neo+ P10 | 215/70 R16 | 16-inch | Alloys | CEAT Czar HP |
Mahindra Bolero Neo+: Looks And Design
The Mahindra Bolero Neo+ is a stretched version of the smaller Bolero Neo, sharing its entire front profile and much of the side and rear profiles with the latter. Compared to the Bolero Neo, the new Bolero Neo+ is 405mm longer, and retains the same boxy and tall design with updated fog lamps, bull bar-like grille, new 16-inch alloy wheels and an X-themed spare wheel cover.
On the inside, the new Mahindra Bolero Neo+ gets a nine-seater configuration, with opposite facing benches in the third row to accommodate four people there. The new MPV gets a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 6-speaker audio system, manual AC and electrically-adjustable rearview mirrors.
Mahindra Bolero Neo+: Engine And Specifications
Mahindra has relied on the larger 2.2-litre four-cylinder diesel engine for the Bolero Neo+, and not the 1.5-litre diesel engine of the smaller Bolero Neo. Here in the new Bolero Neo+, this 2.2-litre diesel engine claims 120 PS of maximum power and 280 Nm of maximum torque. The standard transmission offered in this rear-wheel drive MPV from Mahindra is a 6-speed manual gearbox.
