Pirelli P Zero Named As Best Performance Tyre BY Evo And Auto Bild Magazine

P Zero set fastest wet and dry lap time but was also judged to be safe and communicative

The Pirelli P Zero tyre beat all its leading rivals in a tyre test conducted by Evo and Auto Bild magazine, they included best lap time, handling, braking in wet and dry condition and driving feel. The P Zero was pitted against seven other well-known rivals from established tyre manufacturer to test the limits and it stood out as the overall test winner by a convincing margin.

The Pirelli was especially impressive in the wet and by far the most impressive tyre subjectively,” wrote Evo. “It set fastest laps in the wet and the dry and you could feel the grip.” The Evo test was backed by another important test win for Pirelli earlier this year, when the P Zero was judged to be the best of 11 summer tyres b renowned German publication Auto Bild.

Evo carried out the test with the latest P Zero in 18-inch size, which is one of the most popular measurements in Pirelli’s performance range and will also be adopted by the FIA Formula One World Championship from 2021 onwards. The P-Zero range starts with 18-inch size and goes all the way up to 22 inches, equipping some of the most desirable supercars and hypercars in the world.

P Zero tyres are now chosen by more than 50% of the world’s prestige cars as original equipment, meaning that over half the world’s most desirable cars like the Jaguar XF, Audi Q7, Jaguar XJ, Mercedes-Benz E-Class etc. leave their factories on Pirelli tyres.
