The latest iteration of the Hero Electric Photon is now available in India in a single variant, which is priced at Rs 1.11 lakh, making it one of the most premium offerings from the Indian electric two-wheeler brand.

Retaining much of the essence of the looks of the previous iteration of the Hero Electric Photon, the new model comes with mild changes. While the scooter still retains the curvaceous design for the front apron and side body panels, they now come with more prominent curves to make the scooter look, fresher. Hero Electric has given the handlebar-integrated halogen headlamp, turn indicators and tail lamp a rounded theme, which goes well with the rest of the design of the electric scooter.

For more modernity and to match the preferences of new-age buyers, the Hero Electric Photon now comes with a few new contemporary features. The list of these new features includes refreshed full-LCD instrument console with decent information on display, blacked-out alloy wheels and a USB charger. It also comes with additional security features like a remote lock, anti-theft alarm and combi brakes. 

The Hero Electric Photon is now on sale in only one fully-loaded variant, which has been made available with only one motor and battery combination. Powering the rear wheel of the Photon is a hub-mounted 1.8 kW electric motor, which enables the electric scooter to reach a top speed of 45 kmph. Also, the removable 72V/26Ah battery pack on offer in the Photon is capable of giving a maximum riding range of 90 km to the Photon, which can be charged from 0 to 100 per cent in 5 hours.

Retaining the rest of the mechanical setup from the previous iteration of the Photon, the new model continues to have telescopic forks at the front and dual-sided coil springs at the rear for suspension duties. For braking, the electric scooter comes with basic drum brakes for both front and rear wheels.
