Apollo Tyres Ties Up With Tata Power For Installation Of EV Charging Stations

Based on the location, the chargers will support EV charging for two-wheelers and four-wheelers.
Apollo Tyres, one of the leading tyre makers in India, has tied up with Tata Power for deploying EV charging stations across the country. The strategic partnership is an excellent initiative to cement the green mobility commitments. The strong presence of Tata Power, the subsidiary of Tata Group, across all the segments will help improve the charging ecosystem throughout the vehicle zones of Apollo Tyres.
According to the agreement inked between the two, Tata Power, the largest integrated power company in the country, will be deploying EV charging stations at 150 branded retail outlets, commercial and passenger vehicle zones of the Apollo Tyres in the initial phase. These outlets will not only serve the visiting customers but also be open for the general public right throughout the year.
Commenting on the development, Satish Sharma, President of Apollo Tyres for the Asia Pacific, Middle East and African region, stated that the new charging infrastructure at the premises of Tata Power will strengthen the commitment towards green mobility. And with one of the largest service networks of Tata Power, there will be an uninterrupted supply of charging across various locations.
Ease of Access to Speed-Up Electric Mobility
Tata Power is one of the largest players in power distribution in India. And it can be seen in the fact that the company has created an extensive electric vehicle charging infrastructure under EZ Charge brand digital platform having over 1000 charging points spread in 200 cities in the country. When it comes to the commercial segment, Tata Power has been deploying all kinds of chargers DC 001, AC, Type 2 and Fast DC Chargers with support of 50kWh and up to 240kWh for buses.
These innovative charging stations have served as an excellent medium of seamless charging experience for people in malls, offices, retail outlets, hotels, and several other places of public access, empowering clean mobility and giving freedom to those who suffer from range anxiety. The EZ Chargers ecosystem of Tata Power encompasses the complete management of Public & Captive Chargers, Bus & Fleet Chargers and Home Chargers.
Besides, these EV charging stations are backed up by a solid software platform, facilitated by a mobile-based application named Tata Power EZ Charge, to offer a convenient charging experience to the consumers. The mobile application helps in finding the nearby charging stations, charging process, and online bill payment.
