  Best Tyres For BMW 3-Series

Since its arrival on Indian soil, the 3-Series has remained a crucial model for BMW’s Indian innings. Known for its fine driving dynamics not compromising on comfort levels, the BMW 3-Series continues to be one of the strong sellers for the brand in India.

In 2023, BMW brought the facelifted generation of the seventh-generation 3-Series, which is now available in two distinct versions – the 3-Series Gran Limousine and M340i. The Gran Limousine is inclined more towards an unparalleled rear seat experience with its long wheelbase body. On the other hand, the M340i is purely intended to bring out the driver in you with its powerful engine and sportier driving dynamics, while being available in the short-wheelbase version.

The 3-Series now comes with the M Sport package as standard, which includes M Sport alloy wheels and M aerodynamics package for the front and rear aprons and side sills.

The interior is where the new 3-Series receives an even more ground-breaking change, with the all-new cabin featuring a curved cockpit behind the steering wheel. Termed as BMW Live Cockpit Plus, this curved screen houses a 12.3-inch full-TFT instrument console and a 14.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system running on BMW Operating System 8.0. The all-new cabin also comes blessed with features like three-zone automatic climate control, wireless charging, panoramic sunroof, M Sport steering wheel, ambient lighting and a 16-speaker Harman Kardon audio system.

The BMW 3-Series Gran Limousine is offered with two powertrain options – one petrol and one diesel. While the 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine claims 258 PS of power and 400 Nm of torque, the 2.0-litre diesel engine on offer produces 190 PS of power and 400 Nm of torque. Meanwhile, the M340i gets a 3.0-litre turbocharged inline-six petrol engine, which makes 374 PS of power and 500 Nm of torque.

All three variants of the BMW 3-Series come with 8-speed automatic transmission, launch control and three driving modes (Comfort, Eco Pro and Sport) as standard. However, the M340i is a good experience for purists with an additional Sport+ drive mode, variable sport steering and xDrive four-wheel drive system with varying torque distribution. The M340i also gets an M Sport differential, M Sport suspension, M Sport brakes and M Sport exhaust.
