Price hike will be effective Sept. 1 in the United States and Canada
Michelin North America has announced price hike of up to 8% on select MICHELIN, BFGOODRICH and UNIROYAL passenger and light truck replacement tires, up to 4% on motorcycle tires, and up to 14% on both on- and off-road commercial tire offers due to market dynamics.
These increases will be effective Sept. 1 in the United States and Canada. These updated prices will come into effect for orders invoiced starting on Sept. 1, 2021, said the tyremaker in a release.
Price changes may vary across specific products within each brand portfolio. Details will be presented to dealers, fleets, end-users and commercial equipment manufacturers by Aug. 16 with additional questions addressed directly through account managers.
Michelin designs, manufactures and sells tires for every type of vehicle, including airplanes, automobiles, bicycles, earthmovers, farm equipment, heavy-duty trucks and motorcycles.
The company has earned a long-standing reputation for building innovative premium tires. Since 1989, Michelin has received 80 J.D. Power tire customer satisfaction awards — five times the number of all other tire manufacturers combined.
In addition to tires, the company also publishes travel guides, hotel and restaurant guides, maps
and road atlases. Headquartered in Greenville, S.C., Michelin North America employs about 22,700 and operates 20 major manufacturing plants.
