Setting up a new benchmark for tyres for high-performance cars and SUVs, Falken Tyres has launched an ultra-ultra-high performance (U-UHP) tyre, the Azenis RS820. Designed and engineered for impeccable and balanced use in sports cars for road and track, the new Falken Azenis RS820 has been announced in 38 sizes between 19 to 21 inches.
From these 38 tyre sizes, 30 will go into production before the end of 2023, with the remaining 8 set to hit production floors in 2024.
Designed with cross-sections from 30 to 45, the new Falken Azenis RS820 U-UHP tyre has been developed using inputs from the Japan-based parent company Sumitomo Rubber Industries. This new tyre from Falken is Europe’s first U-UHP tyre for road and track use, claiming ultra-precise handling and control at all speeds and a smooth and noise-free ride.
For better grip levels at higher speeds, the new Falken Azenis RS820 has an asymmetric tread pattern with four circumferential tread grooves and an improved shoulder design. The tyre also has a combination of circumferential tread ribs, interlocking micro-structures and flexibility and an optimized belt ply for added stability.
For added grip over wet surfaces, the Falken Azenis RS820 has wide and deep grooves, while the trademark 4D Nano Design technology reduces wear rate, thus increasing lifespan.
