The prolonged side profile features black plastic cladding over the wheel arches that house the 18-inch alloy wheels similar to the Fortuner. The rear end is traditional with a lot of chrome, whereas the LED taillamps are simple and do the needed job.
Interior offer an advanced experience with a nice blend of practicality, sophistication, style and innovation. The car shares plenty of elements with the Fortuner, save the dashboard layout, which is all-black with glossy black trims and contrasting brushed silver accents.

The soft-touch cabin with metal accents and leather seats provides it with a modern and progressive look. From the 8-inch touchscreen infotainment, climate controls, and instrument cluster to the front seats and steering wheel, are all similar to the Fortuner.
The SUV features all essential contemporary comfort aspects, including dual-zone climate control, rear ac vents, leather seats, cooled upper glovebox, push start-stop button, automatic headlamps, 60:40 second-row seat split, electrically adjustable driver’s seat, steering mounted controls, infotainment with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and all power windows.
In the safety department, it gets seven airbags, ABS with EBD and Brake Assist, Hill Assist Control, Vehicle Stability Control, Downhill Assist Control, Active Traction Control, Automated Limited Slip Differential, Tyre Angle Monitor, electrochromic IRVM and park assist with back monitor and front & rear sensors.

The Hilux is powered by a 2.8L 4-cylinder turbocharged diesel motor that is doing its duty in Fortuner. The engine develops 204PS and 420Nm when mated to 6-speed manual transmission, whereas it generates 204PS and 500Nm torque when paired with the 6-speed automatic gearbox. The vehicle comes in the 4x4 configuration and has a phenomenal water wading capacity of 700mm.
The Hilux can be availed in three trims and five graceful colour options, including Emotional Red, Gray Metallic, White Pearl CS, Super White and Silver Metallic. The SUV cum pick-up competes against Isuzu D-Max V-Cross in its segment.
