Kia Seltos Facelift Unveiled In India: Here Are The Tyre Details & Technical Specs

Kia has upped the ante in the midsize SUV segment with the Seltos facelift. New Seltos arrives with noteworthy changes inside-out, along with a few new features. We take a comprehensive look at its technical attributes and tyre options offered in its variant lineup:
- The new Kia Seltos facelift will be available in two versions – Tech-Line and GT-Line, along with the X-Line variant with a matte paint job.
- Seltos lower-spec variants get 205/65 R16 tyres, the mid-spec variants feature 215/60 R17.
- The higher-spec GT-Line and X-Line variants come with 215/55 R18 tyres.
- The new Seltos gets a bolder front grille and bumpers, along with tweaked all-LED headlamps and tail lamps.
- The new features introduced in the Kia Seltos facelift include a panoramic sunroof, dual-zone automatic climate control, powered driver’s seat and Level-2 ADAS.
Kia has unveiled the updated Seltos midsize SUV, featuring significant tweaks to its exterior, interior and features list. Bookings for the facelifted Kia Seltos will commence on 14th July 2023, with the official deliveries slated to begin before the festive season. Like before, the new Kia Seltos will be available in two versions – Tech-Line and GT-Line, with an exclusive top-spec X-Line variant with a matte paint option based on the GT-Line version.
The new Kia Seltos facelift has arrived with tweaks to its front grille and headlamps, which now feature a bolder design and updated daytime running LEDs. The new Seltos will now come with updated and different designs for the front and rear bumpers for the Tech-Line and GT-Line. The rear profile of the Kia Seltos facelift also receives changes in the form of updated LED tail lamps connected by an LED bar.
Kia has also updated the cabin layout of the Seltos facelift, which now gets a full-TFT cockpit comprising 10.25-inch screens for the instrument console and a touchscreen infotainment system. Apart from the already available features like drive modes, ventilated front seats, air purifier, BOSE audio system and others. The list of these new features includes a panoramic sunroof, dual-zone automatic climate control, a powered driver’s seat and an ADAS suite of 17 features.

About Tyre Options Available For The Kia Seltos Facelift
Following are the tyre patterns offered for the updated Kia Seltos across its variant lineup:
Kumho Solus KH32 – Available in 205/65 R16 tyre size for the HTE, HTK and HTK+ variants of the Seltos, the Kumho Solus KH32 claims low rolling resistance, thus ensuring comfortable and quiet trip on all types of terrains. The Solus KH32 also claims reduced noise levels and better traction on surfaces during rain.
Kumho Ecsta HS51 – This tyre is available in 215/60 R17 tyre size for the mid-spec HTX and HTX+ variants of the Kia Seltos facelift. Claiming to offer maximised driving performance with its high technology material, this tyre has a solid rib-tyre design with a centralized ribbed pattern design, which ensures improved wet braking.
JK Tyre UX Royale – This tyre is specifically available in the top-spec GT-Line and X-Line variants of the Kia Seltos facelift in 215/55 R18 tyre size. For total control at high speeds, this tyre has an aero-wing design and stable shoulder tread blocks. While the multi-pinch sequence decreases road noise significantly, the asymmetric tread pattern and dual radius profile reduce braking distance.
Engine & Specifications
The updated Kia Seltos has retained the previously available 1.5-litre 115 naturally-aspirated petrol engine and the 1.5-litre 115 PS diesel engine. However, the 1.4-litre 140 PS turbocharged petrol engine from the pre-facelift model has been replaced with a new 1.5-litre 160 PS turbocharged petrol engine, which was first launched in the updated Kia Carens.
Kia Motors offer multiple transmission options for the Seltos facelift, and these comprise of 6-speed manual, 6-speed iMT, CVT, 6-speed torque converter and 7-speed DCT.
