2023 Tata Safari Launched: Gets 17,18 And 19-Inch Tyre Options

The Tata Safari receives its first major facelift, which includes a fresher-looking exterior and a whole new cabin layout with more tech-based features. Read more to find out the details of the styling feature updates and new tyre options provided across the Tata Safari facelift variant lineup:
- Offered in ten variants, the updated Tata Safari gets a 2.0-litre 170 PS diesel engine as the standard powertrain.
- The entry-level Smart (O) and Pure (O) variants have 17-inch, 235/65 R17 Apollo Apterra HP tyres.
- The mid-spec Adventure, Adventure+ and Adventure+ A variants of the Safari come with 18-inch, 235/60 R18 Bridgestone Ecopia EP850 tyres.
- The higher-spec Accomplished, Accomplished+ and Dark Edition variants get 19-inch, 245/55 R19 MRF Wanderer Street tyres.
Leading automaker Tata Motors launched the latest iteration of its robust seven-seater, the Tata Safari. The new and substantially updated Tata Safari gets major tweaks to its design, a refreshed cabin layout and classy upholstery options. The Safari variant lineup, updated drastically by Tata now gets more distinguished nomenclature and a different set of tyre options, the details of it are as follows:

In an attempt to simplification and give it a new identity, Tata has revised and renamed the variants of the Safari, with the lineup now consisting of 10 variants including the Dark edition ones.
Apollo Apterra HP
The Smart (O) and Pure (O) are the entry-level variants of the new Tata Safari, which come with 235/65 R17 Apollo Apterra HP tyres over 17-inch alloy wheels. The Apollo Apterra HP comes with a stiffness-optimized longitudinal rib on the tread area for optimal stability. Whereas, the rugged shoulder design and stabiliser grooves in the shoulder rib aid in precise steering control during worry-free high-speed drives.
Bridgestone Ecopia EP850
The mid-spec variants of the new Safari – Adventure, Adventure+ and Adventure+ A – roll on 235/60 R18 Bridgestone Ecopia EP850 tyres shod over 18-inch alloy wheels. Made of Nano Pro-tech compound for an optimal balance of fuel efficiency and performance, the Bridgestone Ecopia EP850 has rib-linked blocks that claim better braking on wet surfaces.
MRF Wanderer Street
The higher-spec variants of the Safari – Adventure+ Dark, Accomplished, Accomplished Dark, Accomplished+ and Accomplished+ Dark – have 245/55 R19 MRF Wanderer Street tyres over 19-inch alloy wheels as standard. The MRF Wanderer Street has reinforced steel and N66 ply compound for consistent performance at all speeds. While the wide grooves at the tread part offer enhanced grip on wet settings.

Tata Safari Facelift: Looks & Design
The Tata Safari has been heavily updated on the lines of the refreshed Harrier. However, this time, the changes on the exterior of the Safari are distinctive over the Harrier, with the former getting a different-looking fascia and rear profile compared to its inhouse sibling. .
At the front, the new Tata Safari also gets an LED connecting bar between the daytime running LEDs, but it gets a slightly different front grille and vertical headlamp assemblies with LED projectors. At the back, the Safari has different-looking LED tail lamps and a rear windscreen. The new Safari’s cabin features new screens – a full-TFT 10.25-inch full-TFT instrument console and a contemporary 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system (10.25-inch screens in lower and mid-spec variants).
The Safari also features a touch-sensitive control panel for dual-zone automatic climate control, a driver knee airbag and a new multi-functional four-spoke steering wheel. Other features include panoramic sunroof, ADAS red and ventilated front seats, a 10-speaker JBL audio system and more.
Tata Safari Facelift: Engine & Specifications
Tata Motors might have made some significant changes to the Safari inside-out, though, under the hood, it is the same old SUV. The heavily updated Tata Safari continues to be available with a 2.0-litre four-cylinder diesel engine. The frugal engine is offered with both 6-speed manual and 6-speed transmission options. The diesel engine continues to be in the same state of tune, with it delivering 170 PS of maximum power and 350 Nm of maximum torque.
