Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2024: Tata Unveils Red Dark Edition Safari, Comes Shod With 19-inch MRF Wanderer Street Tyres

Find out about all new visual elements and powertrain and tyre details of the Safari Red Dark Edition, which debuted at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2024: 

• The Tata Safari Red Dark Edition shares its 245/55 R19 MRF Wanderer Street tyres and 19-inch all-black alloy wheels with the Safari Dark Edition. 
• The exterior of Safari Red Dark Edition features contrast red accents on the headlamps and red-coloured ‘Safari’ badges and front and rear brake callipers.
• The interior gets red leather upholstery and red ambient lighting, along with contrast red accents and an all-black dashboard layout. 
• The 2.0-litre 170 PS diesel engine remains unchanged, and so are the transmission options. 

Tata Motors has introduced a more premium Red Dark Edition of its flagship SUV at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2024. The Tata Safari Red Dark Edition was previously available in the pre-facelifted version, and now, Tata Motors has showcased the facelifted version in the same treatment, indicating its launch in the coming days. 

Here are all the changes introduced in the new Tata Safari Red Dark Edition, along with its powertrain and tyre details:

Tata Safari Red Dark Edition: Tyres & Wheels

Based on the Dark Edition of Accomplished+ variant of the standard Tata Safari, the blacked-out 19-inch alloy wheels of the Tata Safari Red Dark Edition have MRF Wanderer Street tyres wrapped over them, which measure 245/55 R19.

The largest tyre for any Tata car or SUV to date, the 19-inch MRF Wanderer Street tyres for Tata Safari has a multi-layered reinforced steel belt package with N-66 ply for enhanced all-terrain performance. The computer-generated tread block sequence and structure profile, and bold sidewall graphics give this MRF tyre a sturdy and stylish appearance. For additional superior performance on off-road surfaces, the MRF Wanderer Street also has cut-resistant tread compounds and a multi-layered, high-modulus carcass and sidewall.

Tata Safari Red Dark Edition: Looks & Design

The changes in the new Tata Safari Red Dark Edition are only cosmetic, most of which include contrast red accents and highlights inside-out. The exterior of the Safari Red Dark Edition has a contrast red finish for the horizontal headlamp inserts, ‘Safari’ badges on the front doors and boot lid and front and rear brake callipers, along with blacked-out Tata logos.

The all-black cabin of the Tata Safari Red Dark Edition also remains unchanged with the same set of features. However, the cabin looks different with red accents and ‘Dark’ badges, red-coloured inner door handles and grab handles and red leather seats. 

Tata Safari Red Dark Edition: Engine & Specifications

The Tata Safari Red Dark Edition remains mechanically unchanged over the current variants of Safari, with it also getting the 2.0-litre diesel engine with the options of 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic transmissions. This engine claims 170 PS of maximum power and 350 Nm of maximum torque.
