BYD Seal Launched, Prices Start At Rs 41 Lakh, Features Continental EcoContact 6 Tyres

The BYD Seal has arrived in the Indian car market as BYD’s third and flagship product for India. Following are all the details about the tyre options offered in all the variants of the Seal EV, in addition to other technical and equipment details:
- The BYD Seal will be available in three variants, each of which has its own motor and battery combination.
- The 18-inch alloys of the base-spec Standard Range have 225/50 R18 Continental EcoContact 6 tyres.
- The Extended Range and All-Wheel Drive variants have 19-inch alloys wrapped with 235/45 R19 Continental EcoContact 6 tyres.

BYD Seal: Tyres & Wheels
The base-spec Standard Range variant of the BYD Seal has 18-inch alloy wheels with 225/50 R18 tyres, while the mid-spec Extended Range and top-spec All-Wheel Drive variants have 19-inch alloy wheels with 235/45 R19 tyres. In all three variants, BYD Seal comes with Continental EcoContact 6 tyres.
Designed exclusively for electric vehicles like the BYD Seal, the Continental EcoContact 6 has a high silica content for enhanced rolling resistance and an advanced Green Chili 2.0 compound for reduction in tyre wear rate. This Continental tyre for BYD Seal also has a tailor-made pattern with asymmetric rib and sipe geometry for exceptional grip on both wet and dry surfaces.

BYD Seal: Looks & Design
All three variants of the BYD Seal are feature-loaded, with the electric car getting LED headlamps and tail lamps with sequential LED turn indicators, flush-type door handles and an LED rear-connected light bar on the outside.
The feature-loaded cabin of the Seal EV has a long equipment list comprising of the panoramic glass roof, 10.25-inch full-TFT instrument console, 15.6-inch rotating touchscreen infotainment system, powered, heated and ventilated front seats, 12-speaker audio system, dual-zone auto AC, wireless charging pad and more.
BYD Seal: Engine & Specifications
All three variants of the BYD Seal come with different motor and battery combinations. The base-spec Standard Range has a rear-mounted electric motor (204 PS and 310 Nm) and a 61.44kWh battery claiming a 510 km range.
The mid-spec Extended Range has the same 204 PS rear-mounted electric motor but gets a larger 82.56kWh battery claiming a 650 km range. The top-spec All-Wheel Drive variant has a dual-motor setup with combined power and torque outputs of 530 PS and 670 Nm and 580 km range from its 82.56kWh battery.
