Customers of Iveco eDaily 42S can now choose from a wide range of summer, winter and all-season Continental VanContact tyres.

• Two summer tyres from Continental for Iveco eDaily 42S – Continental VanContact Ultra and Continental VanContact Eco.
• For compatibility in all seasons, the Iveco eDaily 42S is recommended to be used with Continental VanContact 4Season.
• Continental VanContact Winter is for eDaily 42S to be used during winter.

Italian commercial vehicle specialist Iveco has joined hands with Continental Tyres for tyre solutions for its popular offering, the eDaily 42S electric commercial van. Under this new partnership, the customers buying the Iveco eDaily 42S will have the option to choose from the range of summer, winter and all-season VanContact tyres, which will come as standard for the electric commercial van. All these Continental VanContact tyres will come in the 235/65 R16 121/119R tyre size as standard.

Summer Tyres From Continental For Iveco eDaily 42S

For the eDaily 42S, Iveco will be offering two summer tyre options from Continental – VanContact Ultra and VanContact Eco. Both tyres feature robust designs and claim to offer a long service life, thanks to their claimed efficiency in low energy consumption.

Among the two Continental VanContact summer tyres, the VanContact Ultra is widely chosen by commercial vehicle owners, who prefer tyres suitable for obtaining high mileage, low tyre noise and low rolling resistance. 

This tyre comes with ‘stone stoppers’ attached in its outer grooves, which prevents the interlocking of rubber compounds and stones, thus allowing quicker ejection of stones from the tyre. The Continental VanContact Ultra tyre also has reinforced sidewalls for robust construction and avoiding curb contact.

The other summer tyre offered by Continental for the Iveco eDaily 42S, the VanContact Eco, is exclusively designed for enhancing energy efficiency. As per the claims made by Continental, this tyre features an innovative rubber compound for a low rolling resistance value, which reduces energy consumption. 

This quality of Continental VanContact Eco is more beneficial, particularly for EVs in stop-go traffic conditions. Additionally, this tyre also has a stable tread pattern for a lower tyre wear rate, thus resulting in a longer life span.

All-Season Tyres And Winter Tyres From Continental For Iveco eDaily 42S

The Continental VanContact 4Season tyre for Iveco eDaily 42S is an all-season tyre which has been designed for optimal performance during braking and handling on wet or low-traction surfaces, such as mud and snow-covered roads. Even over dry surfaces, this all-season Continental tyre assures good braking performance.

On the other hand, for winter conditions, the Continental VanContact Winter tyre for Iveco eDaily 42S assures precise steering movements over snow-covered surfaces. For additional grip on such terrains during winter conditions, the tread pattern of this winter tyre from Continental has special tread grooves for increased grip and traction on snow.
