From now onwards, all the Goodyear tyres, which will be compatible with both electric and internal combustion engine vehicles, will now feature an exclusive EV-Ready logo. To be seen on the sidewalls of the Goodyear tyres, which can be used both for EVs and ICE vehicles, the new EV-Ready logo features a tick in front of the “EV” lettering.
According to Goodyear, the new tyres with EV-ready logo will be offered from the beginning of 2024 for various tyre sizes manufactured for passenger vehicles. Goodyear is already a popular brand among electric vehicle makers and buyers, with around 50 per cent of the EVs made in Europe coming with Goodyear tyres as the officially chosen OEM tyres. Goodyear also expects that more carmakers will choose the new range of tyres with the EV-ready logo as standard equipment for their new-age EVs.
In addition to the electric vehicles, the new Goodyear tyres with an EV-ready logo can also be used for the existing passenger vehicles with internal combustion engines. The EV-ready logo is not the first exclusive badge offered on the Goodyear tyres for electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles, for they also come with “Electric Drive Technology (EDT)” and “Electric Drive Ready (EDR)” labels.
